Abstract : Initial observations reveal that the proficiency of smashes generated does not always translate optimally in actual match scenarios. The lack of evaluation and coaching on individual smash abilities also poses a hindrance. This study aims to investigate the smash ability in volleyball games among male members of the Undana volleyball club when subjected to regular training programs. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The research design utilized is pre-test and post-test design, involving experimentation within a single group without a control group. The instrument employed is a volleyball smash test. Data analysis technique involves the use of a paired sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05% with the assistance of the SPSS computer program. The research subjects consist of 16 male members of the Undana Volleyball Club. The research yielded a calculated t-value of 13.28, exceeding the critical t-value of 1.753, indicating a 34.70% improvement in smash ability. These results signify that the null hypothesis is rejected, leading to the conclusion that there is an influence of arm muscle strength training on smash ability in volleyball games among male members of the Undana volleyball club.
